Fabric-ATED Stories

Fabric-ATED Stories is an Artist Residency in partnership with the Swedish Museum of World Cultures across multidisciplinary genres which looks to create a mentorship programme for mid-level artists living in Zambia and the wider Diaspora. We are joined by well-established artists in their specific fields of expertise, including Natasha Omokhodion-Kalulu Banda, Gareth Bentley, Catherine Fundafunda and Mag44.

Launch of the Leading Ladies Podcast

The aim of the project is to highlight and mainstream this knowledge so perceptions of women are influenced positively.

WikiWomen Wikipedia Edit-a-thon

Wikipedia, Embassy of Sweden and the museum partnered on the #WikiGap #WIkiWomen global project that aimed to increase the number of stories of women on Wikipedia.

34 writers were trained by Wikipedia trainer from South Africa Bobby Shabangu and now over 100 women from Zambia have been documented on Wikipedia. The project has also been done in South Africa, Ghana, New York and other places around the world.
